

Open Source Automatic Quality Assurance (OSAQA) Project

Author Biography:
I am currently a PhD candidate in medical physics at the University of Newcastle (Nov 2011-present). The research is to use MR (magnetic resonance) images to create prostate radiotherapy treatment plan and investigate the benefit of applying adaptive planning using weekly MR images. I was graduated with a Master in Medical Physics from the University of Canterbury in 2010.
I have worked in several projects including the development of a GUI (graphical user interface) for displaying and analysing CT DICOM images (undergraduate summer project), the implementation of 2-step IMAT (intensity modulated arc therapy) method to treatment planning system (Master project), MR-based prostate treatment planning (PhD project) and the self-initiated OSAQA project.
